Service and life after the Boer War: He married Winnie Macrone in 1914. Served in WW1 Egypt and Gallipoli (16/10/1914 - 02/05/1915), PTE 16 Bn AIF. KIA 2 May 1915 during Turkish offensive. Edgar (Paddy) was the son on Henry and Alice Bell of Cottesloe and his brother Frederick won a VC in the Boer War and brother Bert Adams (Tissy) Bell was killed in action Pozieres 29.7.1916.
