Details of service in war: The Southern Rhodesian Volunteers were part of the force that releived Mafikeng, and defended the Elands River post. The Southern Rhodesian Volunteers seem to have suffered any casualties in action after 22 August 1900. The regiment served until the end of the war.

Service and life after the Boer War: Migrated to Australia lived in Adelaide, worked as draftsman with Electricity and Water Supplies. Married and had 3 sons, lived at Linden Park.
