*On the 6 June 1901 a composite force of 100 Imperial Mounted Infantry and the same number of South Australians made an early morning march and captured the whole of De Wet's convey with 6 months supplies. For Four hours 160 men held out against a notable Boer leader and between 300-400 burghers, who attempted to recapture it;eight men being killed and 6 wounded.
